We’ve narrowed down the courses that are extra useful in these times. What’s even better? They’re all free!

Finally–some good news popped up on our feeds in recent memory (besides the many relief efforts plus COVID19 recoveries!): TESDA has announced several online courses everyone can sign up to for free

To many of us stuck at home, our longing for productive days are over. We can learn skills in front of the computer while snacking in our pambahay, and get National Certifications (NC) by the end of each course. Besides functioning as another resume item, learning new skills can be fun!

While the options of online courses can be overwhelming–over 68 of them according to the TESDA site–we’ve narrowed down five (5) skills sets that are expected to be helpful, exhibit an increase in demand for, or enjoy increasing popularity in the months to come while our country goes through recovery. We had considerable thoughts on courses such as Human Health/Health Care: Massage Therapy NC II and Job Interview Skills Training due to potential social distancing regulations in the future, but hey, they could be helpful, too!

Say goodbye to engine trouble while running for groceries, or travelling to the province. And hey, you get to secure the highly important Automotive Servicing NC II!

With farm-to-table dining as one of the top food trends this year (also organic and plant-based/vegan dishes), the move to edible wellness and healthier eating is apparent in the many years to come. Also with the emerging challenges in food supply, growing our own food right at the backyard or if we have hectares of land available is a plus. Learn how to grow seedlings and fruit-bearing trees in this self-paced course!

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY: Mobile App Design, Technopreneurship or Web Development

We can only expect Information Technology demands–especially mobile apps and websites–to grow as more Filipinos increasingly find new and innovative uses of them at home and at work. Companies are exploring telecommuting options plus projects and meetings are being managed online. The new norm for brands, utility and efficiency? Mobile apps. Coding, programming, software use–the possibilities for learning are endless.
